Agricultural growth is closely associated with sustainable economic development. This is especially true from the perspective of developing countries, such as Indonesia and Pakistan, where significant portions of the labour force are dependent on agriculture for their livelihood. This paper aims to examine the effects of macroeconomic policy (i.e. monetary policy) on employment, food inflation, and agricultural growth by analysing to what extent monetary policy is effective in controlling food price inflation, the effect of contractionary monetary policy on the agricultural sector’s employment and productivity, and the extent of monetary policy transmission to money market rates and 10-year interest rates. We employed a factor-augmented vector autoregressive model proposed by Bernanke et al. (2005) to agricultural data from 1995 and 1996 to 2016 for Indonesia and Pakistan, respectively. Main findings of the study demonstrate that tight monetary policy significantly reduced food inflation and agricultural production while increasing the rural unemployment rate. Short-term and 10-year interest rates increased owing to the contractionary monetary policies pursued by both countries. An inclusive monetary policy whereby policymakers work alongside governments to achieve price stabilisation and reasonable employment rates is recommended.

This paper aims to examine the effect of institutional distance on the level of equity ownership. The sampling technique in this research used a purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research is cross-border acquisition transactions between Chinese multinational companies and target countries in the Southeast Asia region in the 2015 – 2019 period; thus, the total sample of this research is 32 transactions. The analysis technique in this study was Multiple Linear Regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model. The main finding of this study demonstrates that economic and geographical distance partially affect the level of equity ownership significantly. Meanwhile, administrative distance does not partially affect the level of equity ownership of the target company by Chinese multinational companies.

Quality is a factor to increase the competitiveness of a product. By increasing quality, the production costs will be reduced, thus it will eventually reduce waste. The failure of a product can be caused by the availability of raw materials, machines, equipment, human resources, and environmental factors during the production process. Quality control is a method used to keep the product needed by the market to be within controlled limits. This study aims to determine the quality of Tempe SS products at the Sirajussa’adah Islamic Boarding School in Limo Depok. It is carried out to see whether the quality is still within control limits or not by using the Six Sigma method with several stages of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) implementation. In this research, calculations are carried out using the checksheet, flow chart, histogram, Pareto Hart, control, scatter diagram and fishbone diagram methods of production. Based on the results, it can be concluded that for 25 times the study, it is obtained the value of the center line (CL) of 0.0036, the value of the upper control limit (UCL) of 0.0050, and the value of the lower control limit (LCL) of 0. It is also found that there are a number of variations in the process that are outside the control limit (out of control) and within the control limit (in control) in the production process of Tempe SS at the Sirajussa Islamic Boarding School in Limo Depok. However, this is still inadequate for the fermentation process infrastructure, equipment for packaging is still manual and environmental factors determine the cause of the number of defective products.

This study aims to identify problems in the implementation of bureaucratic reform in the field of employment, especially civil servants’ promotion. This study is carried out using a qualitative approach with the case study method. The data collection technique is done using observation, documentation study, and interviews with two key informants. The data is then analyzed in several stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that there is an injustice and non-transparent phenomenon in civil servants’ promotion, especially in the initial promotion, promotion by extraordinary work performance, and promotion by graduation certificate. This condition has the potential to cause corruption, collusion, and nepotism, and might reduce employee performance in providing public service.

Differences in interests related to taxation between the government and companies are still a current issue. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of managerial and financial competencies on tax avoidance in Indonesian manufacturing companies. 149 financial statements of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were used to compile the data. Panel data regression with a random-effects model was used to test and analyze the data. The findings revealed that financial challenges and managerial ability had a detrimental impact on tax avoidance, but there was no influence between the audit committee on tax avoidance. As for the control variable, there is a positive influence between profitability on tax avoidance, and there is no influence between leverage on tax avoidance.

Labour, entrepreneurship, and technology are important components in the success of GDP Per capita, the existing workforce is not only fixated by numbers but also must be focused on quality to have a significant impact, in addition to the ability and desire of a nation to grow interested in becoming entrepreneurs. This research base on Solow and Swan's Theory said that economic growth was influenced by the growth of production factors such as population, labor, and capital accumulation, as well as the level of technological progress described in the development of knowledge. There is an element of technological progress in the Solow-Swan model which is the main differentiator from the Harrod-Domar growth model. This study used 42 observers consisting of 7 ASEAN countries, namely; Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Cambodia, using multiple linear regression and using classical assumption test. The research method in this study uses multiple linear regression of panel data, using the classical assumption test. To get the best model, the data will be tested for Pool Effect, Fix Effect and Random Effects Models, while the determination of the best model is based on the results of the Chow and Hausman tests. The results are shown that labor does not have a significant influence on GDP Per Capita revenue, while the entrepreneurship Index (GEI) and Technology Index (GII) variables have a positive and significant impact on GDP Per Capita revenue. The workforce hasn't affected, which is broadly described in this study because the absorption of labor has not been optimal or the provision of jobs whose proportions are not balanced with the number of the workforce.

Market anomaly is an occurring phenomenon in the market. Supposedly, an anomaly does not exist in markets that are considered efficient. An anomaly is an aberration in the efficient market theory where existing information does not reflect stock prices; therefore, investors can earn abnormal returns. This study examines how The Day Of The Week Effect and The Month Of The Year Effect affect stock returns on the Indonesian Stock Price Index and the Global Stock Price Index. Samples in this study are daily stock return data and return data on stocks of IHSG, DJIA, SSEC, and N225. The Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) model is used to analyze data. The results show that in IHSG and SSEC, there was no The Day Of The Week Effect. The DJIA and N225 were found in The Day of the Week Effect. The Month of the Year Effect was found in IHSG, DJIA, SSEC, and N225.

This study will examine the impact of economic collision on the non-performing financing in sharia bank in Indonesia. The current study adopts VAR/VECM method to examine inter variables correlation by testing an economic factors, including 1) Real GDP Growth, 2) Exchange Rate, 3) Inflation, 4) Interest Rate, and 5) IDX Composite. A total NPF of 14 Islamic Banks and 20 Sharia Business Units were selected as data samples from 2006 to 2020. The findings indicate that inflation positively impacts NPF in the short run and delivers the biggest shock to NPF. The result states that Inflation, Exchange rate, and Interest rate are the dominant factors to shock NPF in Islamic Banks. From the analysis results, the economic variables, i.e., GDP, exchange rates, inflation, interest rates, and the IDX Composite, provide a stable long-term relationship and, in the short term, adjust to each other to achieve a new balance in the long term.
