Changes in individual activities lead to changes in behavior. In particular, adolescents experience changes in learning and teaching activities, resulting in a gap between the amount of time available and the lack of activities that adolescents can do. It becomes a momentum for adolescents to create new activities, one of which is investing in the capital market. The relationship between emotional intelligence and adolescents’ intention to become investors, as well as the moderating effect of financial literacy in the relationship. These values indicate that the model is suitable enough to explain about 42.8%-52.6% of changes in the relationships tested. Emotional intelligence has a positive effect on adolescents’ intention to become investors, and financial literacy is able to strengthen this influence. This study contributes to a greater understanding of the importance of emotional intelligence and financial literacy when adolescents have the intention to become investors, especially when capital market uncertainty increases. As capital market uncertainty increases, adolescents should be able to assimilate emotional intelligence with their financial literacy to obtain greater returns. It may encourage adolescents to keep choosing their career as an investor. These results have significant theoretical contributions and provide recommendations for industry and policymaker. This can encourage teens to still choose their careers as investors. These results have significant theoretical contributions and provide recommendations for industry and policymakers.

The data collected through the questionnaire was processed and tested for the validity and reliability of the construct. This study uses Structure Equational Modelling (SEM) and passes the criteria for model fit and quality indices to determine the strength of the structural model of the study before testing the hypothesis. This study found that social media and financial risk tolerance variables directly affect investor behavior, social media affects financial risk tolerance and is able to mediate social media relations with investor behavior. The mediating effect of risk tolerance is very strong on social media relations as a provider of market information with investor’s stock trading behavior, both buying and selling. This study also found that investors tend to make biased decisions when faced with bear market conditions, namely showing overreaction behavior.

The purpose of the study is aimed at determining the financial socialisation of accounting students at South African universities and the factors that influence financial socialisation. The research used statistical techniques such as the structural equation modelling methodology to identify financial socialisation influencers and regression analysis to analyse associations between financial socialisation and socio-demographic variables among 1582 students. The study's results indicate that financial socialisation agents such as relatives, friends, and social media have little impact on most students' financial decisions. The majority of accounting students are often found to be financially socialised by their immediate family members rather than peers or social media factors. The regression analysis results confirmed this observation, revealing a statistically significant association between the parents' level of education and the students' financial socialisation. This study recommends that financial socialisation can be greatly improved by raising parents' educational levels and instilling financial education in university students' curricula, especially in South Africa.
