Penetration and adoption of YouTube is growing internationally and locally. YouTube access has resulted in the emergence of vlogging. Vlogging resultantly has caught the attention of researchers, yet its role in determining consumers' buying behaviour, in general, has been less explored. There is little research on the factors that encourage Generation Z (Gen Z) purchasing behaviour based on YouTube beauty makeup vlogging. To close this gap this study adopted qualitative research. Convenience non-probability sampling was conducted using semi-structured interviews in the collection of data amongst seven Gen Z (female) vlog make-up users between the ages of 18 and 27. Thematic analysis technique was used to analyse the collected data. The main findings of the study revealed that beauty makeup vlogging affects the decision to purchase branded makeup products based on the beauty makeup awareness, vlogger product knowledge, makeup brand preference, attitude toward the brand, beauty makeup application learning techniques, brand affordability and vlogging channel usage. Furthermore, South African Gen Z consumers’ preference for international beauty makeup brands stems from the greater exposure of those brands, in comparison to local brands. The study concluded with contributions and future research directions.

Increasing evidence indicates that climate change is likely to exacerbate anxieties and dangers, leading to heightened conflict and fragility. Climate change may exacerbate food insecurity and encourage climate-related migration, so damaging socioeconomic systems and increasing the likelihood of conflicts over diminishing natural resources. Many drought-affected communities are contending with the compounded impacts of additional crises, such as insecurity, war, and the consequences of climate change, including food insecurity, flooding, and drought. This study, informed by a systematic literature analysis, demonstrates the necessity for communal solutions to address protection issues related to human mobility in the aftermath of the adverse effects of catastrophes and climate change, even when normative and legal instruments are utilised. This situation necessitates a thorough analysis and comprehension of natural mobility patterns, underlying reasons, coordination among key stakeholders, and active involvement in material distribution, capacity enhancement, community engagement, and protection oversight. This study elucidates the human mobility problems associated with climate change and catastrophes, offering recommendations that serve as a foundation for stakeholders addressing this complex issue, ultimately striving towards the shared goal of minimising impacts and safeguarding the most vulnerable populations.

In South Africa, there is a pressing need to produce teachers who can integrate technology in teaching and learning. Therefore, this qualitative study explores business studies student teachers’ experiences of integrating technology during teaching practice. This study is located within the interpretive paradigm and an exploratory case study is adopted as its research design. TPACK framework serves as the lens used to understand the experiences of six student teachers who were sampled purposefully. Data collected through focus group interviews were analysed thematically. The study revealed that student teachers found technology integration to be useful in their instructional practices. However, the study revealed that there was a lack of support from mentor teachers when student teachers were integrating technology. Despite this, they showed determination towards technology integration in their classrooms. Based on the findings, it is concluded that student teachers were determined to integrate technology during teaching practice.

This article explores the factors that have an impact on consumers' satisfaction and behavioural loyalty in relation to ordering and delivery applications, focusing on the emerging trend of online grocery shopping. Considering the digital revolution in retail, it is critical to comprehend consumer behaviour in this space. This study offers insights from a sample of 445 respondents in South Africa. A quantitative descriptive research methodology and a non-probability convenience sampling method were employed for the study. Structural equation modelling was utilised to validate the research measurement model and to test the study’s hypotheses. The results highlight the critical roles of design aesthetics, usefulness and confirmation and show robust positive correlations that support the linkages that the study's model postulates. Notably, design aesthetics, satisfaction and usefulness are all positively influenced by confirmation, and these factors, in turn, improve consumer satisfaction and behavioural loyalty. This study stands out because it provides a fresh viewpoint on the factors that influence customer satisfaction and behavioural loyalty, particularly when it comes to grocery shopping Apps. The distinctiveness of this study resides in its thorough analysis of important concepts and how they interact with one another, all against the backdrop of an African consumer base. The results obtained have numerous applications in the real world. Prioritising the factors that influence customer satisfaction and behavioural loyalty will help marketers and companies to improve app design and marketing tactics, which will increase user satisfaction and behavioural loyalty. Such a strategy could help close the gap between the rather different literatures on consumer behaviour and digital retailing, while also increasing sales through grocery shopping applications. Through this approach, stakeholders can obtain practical insights aimed at augmenting user engagement and loyalty within the fiercely competitive online grocery sector. All things considered, this study not only clarifies the essential elements that influence consumer satisfaction and behavioural loyalty in the online grocery industry but also lays out a roadmap for future research in this quickly developing field.

Strategic management assists organizations in formulating, implementing, and evaluating decisions to set objectives. Energy management should consider top management commitment, risk management, corporate social responsibility, and knowledge and awareness of energy strategies as criteria for implementation. The research aimed to evaluate the four criteria in terms of energy management strategy implementation. A quantitative, non-experimental research design was followed using a structured questionnaire. The most important criterion identified is top management commitment. The results indicate a strong positive correlation between top management commitment and energy management strategies and the importance of risk management. Corporate Social Responsibility and limited knowledge and awareness showed a lower correlation but also contributed to the implementation of energy management strategies. It showed that a lack of knowledge and awareness influences the implementation; organizations can do internal awareness campaigns and appoint a dedicated energy team that can assist management in educating and communicating energy strategies. Further findings included that energy management strategies are essential to the overall business strategy of organizations and that organizations can increase their public reputation by positively contributing to corporate social responsibility and top management commitment. Management needs to lead from the front and provide training, resources and leadership in energy practices. It is recommended that organizations set energy plans, have a dedicated energy team and increase their internal awareness and communication.

This study examines the effect of reasonable accommodations on the wellbeing of students with impairments. It utilises the accounts of fifteen students with disabilities in a South African university. It utilises a blend of snowball and convenience sampling methods, collecting data via individual semi-structured interviews. The study uncovers a multifaceted relationship between the positives and drawbacks of disability support services. Although these services enhance students' overall wellbeing, they can unintentionally induce illbeing, so underscoring the contradictory impacts of reasonable accommodations. This dichotomy emphasises the necessity for a holistic approach to disability support and a reform of the higher education system to address diversity comprehensively. The results have ramifications for disability management in higher education institutions. A critical evaluation of the quality of disability services is necessary to discover and alleviate unanticipated adverse effects that may cause discomfort and disadvantages to students with impairments.

This systematic literature review investigates the integration of inclusive education within pre-service teacher training programmes at rural universities in South Africa, focusing on the nexus between theoretical underpinnings and practical applications. The study aims to synthesise existing research to understand how inclusive education principles are adapted and applied in the preparation of teachers in rural settings, where educational resources and support mechanisms may differ significantly from urban centres. The review used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines to ensure a rigorous and systematic approach, with the selection criteria confined to peer-reviewed articles published from 2000 to 2024 that discuss both the theory and practice of inclusive education specifically in the context of South African rural higher education. The research objectives include identifying core theoretical frameworks employed in the literature, evaluating the effectiveness of these pedagogical approaches, and proposing actionable strategies for enhancing teacher readiness for inclusive education in rural environments. This study contributes to the development of a more coherent strategy for implementing inclusive education that is sensitive to the socio-economic and cultural contexts of rural South Africa.
