Leadership and Decision-Making in Financial Risk Management
Read abstract
The study focuses on understanding the effects of leadership style, volatility of the market, technological embedding, and strategies of the leadership on financial risk mitigation and the performance of the financial options. It studies how such variables affect the organizational financial stability and resilience. Quantitative research design was used; respondents’ sample size was 100. Data analysis was carried out on SPSS, and both correlation and regression analysis were performed to assess the values of relationships among variables. The results suggest that there are weak correlations between financial risk mitigation and leadership strategy, and a strong positive linkage among technological integration and managing market volatility. This indicates that leadership, but not alone, cannot be effective in reducing financial risks without using technology. The study highlights the need to embrace technology-oriented approaches and spend on advanced data analytics, risk assessment tools and leadership development programs to improve strategic decision making and agility in a volatile environment. The increase of digital infrastructure and creation of a data driven culture are key to making the financial system more resilient. Further research should be conducted to explore sector-based differences in the effectiveness of leadership to increase understanding and provide for more individualized approaches to risk management. These insights are to guide more effective strategic planning and improve long term financial performance.
