International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science · 2024

Read abstract

This study is aims to assess the extent to which small enterprises engage in service dominant logic practices. In this study, data was quantitatively collected from 144 service providers of the game and nature reserves in Mpumalanga. The findings revealed a strong positive relationship between the effectiveness of using ICT and the extent to which small enterprises engage in service dominant logic practices. These findings suggest that the use of ICT technologies has a positive effect on the extent to which small businesses engage in service dominant logic practices. The limitation is that this current study is only limited to the tourism industry, in that sense it cannot be generalized to other industries. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge by assessing the extent to which small enterprises engage in service dominant logic practices. Through the co-creation of value, these small businesses can be sustained. Collaborative relationships between small businesses and dominant firms can enhance the small part that black entrepreneurs now play in the country's tourism industry.  By means of value co-creation, major corporations have the ability to offer small and medium-sized companies (SMMEs) both entrepreneurial experience and skill training

International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science · 2023

Read abstract

This research is intended to investigate the effect of digital transformation, strategic partnerships, and service innovation on partnership performance. The population in this study is made up of 95 organizations that are partners of the Ministry of Finance in receiving state revenues. The research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach that collects data by distributing questionnaires to 95 managers from different organizations. The data was analyzed using structural equation modelling and partial least squares with SmartPLS software. The results show that digital transformation has an insignificant effect on partnership performance, while the other variables, namely strategic partnership and service innovation, have a significant effect on partnership performance. However, with the mediating variable service innovation, the effect of both digital transformation and strategic partnership becomes significant. The results of this study suggest that organizations must apply digital transformation to service innovation to obtain the desired partnership performance.

The role of value co-creation in sustaining partner loyalty in B2B business: a service-dominant logic approach

International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science · 2023

Read abstract

The primary aim of this research is to investigate the impact of value co-creation utilizing the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) approach on partner satisfaction, which subsequently fosters loyalty, commitment, and trust among B2B organizations. The present study examined petrogenic partners manufactured by PT Petrokimia Gresik, an Indonesian government-owned enterprise tasked with assisting in the production of organic fertilizers. The present study employed a survey methodology to gather data from 139 petrogenic supplier partners. As a form of SDL, value co-creation with supply partners through training, development programs, knowledge sharing, and standard-setting influences their satisfaction with the cooperative relationship, which ultimately increases their commitment and loyalty to PT Petrokimia Gresik and fosters trust. The findings of this research indicate that business-to-business (B2B) organizations must prioritize their relationships with business partners, particularly suppliers. By engaging suppliers in the value co-creation process, organizations can foster supplier loyalty and satisfaction, ultimately leading to the achievement of high-quality production outcomes.

International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science · 2021

Read abstract

In recent years, scholars have begun to dedicate their attention to destructive relationships as a critical component of organizational life. Prior research has approached it from various points of view, such as trust and partnering, project management, and relational coordination. The purpose of this research is to explore organizational level antecedents of value co-destruction in Lisbon, Portugal within the hospitality sector. The research was quantitative in nature, adopting the survey method. To measure the proposed hypotheses, a unique conceptual model was developed with leadership support, supportive organizational climate, value co-destruction, and commitment to value co-creation as constructs. Data was collected from the hospitality sector of Lisbon, Portugal where 600 responses were obtained for analysis. All participants were employees from the hospitality sector. Key findings revealed that leadership support was dominant in comparison to the other constructs based on how high it loaded as a factor. In addition, a high perception of a supportive organizational climate among service employees will result in a low occurrence of value co-destruction in their organization. Further research direction on the subject is proposed.
