This study aimed to examine the influence of team management approaches, specifically team structuring, leadership, motivation, and communication, on the performance of tea processing projects in Rwanda. The study is grounded in Belbin’s Team Role Theory and the Iron Triangle Model and adopted descriptive and correlational research designs. The target population included 185 respondents, comprising factory staff, supervisors, team leaders, and officials from NAEB, MINAGRI, and the Rwanda Tea Growers Cooperative. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and interviews. A pilot test was conducted with 19 respondents to determine the instrument's ability to produce consistent results over time. Validity and Reliability testing of the research instrument yielded 0.78 and a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.79 from pilot results, confirming the instrument's validity and reliability respectively. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics, including Pearson correlation and regression, using SPSS version 28 at a 0.05 significance level.

Descriptive statistical analysis involved the calculation of percentages and frequencies while inferential statistical analysis involved Pearson correlation in establishing the association of the variables under investigation. and Chi-square tests. Data was presented in the form of tables and charts. Qualitative data were analysed thematically and presented in the form of narratives. The study ensured that ethical considerations were adhered to. The study found a statistically significant relationship between team diversity management and team cohesion (p<0.05). The study concludes that each team member is held accountable for their activities and the decisions they make regarding the team and is included in team activities. Although task conflict is usually seen to be beneficial to team creativity, the relationship is still unclear because of the mixed results. This research investigated why task conflicts resulted in some positive outcomes in terms of team creativity. Drawing on minority dissent theory, this study examined the conflict-creativity relationship by focusing on the mediating role of team reflexivity. We collected the sample data from 338 employees and 67 supervisors (67 teams) across three different sectors (banking, pharmaceuticals, and insurance) in Pakistan to support our hypotheses. We used bootstrapping analysis and the Sobel test to check for the mediation analysis. The results indicated that task conflict increases team reflexivity, team reflexivity facilitated team creativity, and thus, task conflict positively influenced team creativity via team reflexivity. The theoretical and practical implications of this study plus future directions are further discussed.

This research paper investigated the effect of the role of formalization structure on team creativity mediated by task conflict. The object of this research is high tech organizations in China, while the subject is 417 employees in 67 teams and 55 team leaders. Data was gathered through a questionnaire in two waves, first, through the employees’ survey questionnaires administered to team members and three months later to team leaders. The measurements were assessed using the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) in SPSS, and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted using AMOS version 23. A multiple linear regression model was fitted to the data to test how far structure affects team creativity using the SPSS 24.0 version. Findings indicated that the formalization structure affects team creativity, and that task conflict mediated the relationship between formalization structure and team creativity. Thus, teams with a formalization structure have moderate task conflict, which in turn contribution towards team creativity.
